extract it with a software like WinRAR or 7Zip and play it by clicking the .exe file (or the file that looks like the game) and create a shortcut to the desktop by holding right click on it and drag it to the desktop then tap "Create Shortcut" so that you can access it easily whenever you turn on your PC/Laptop, Hope this helps:)
heyo, I was loading up the playtest and my game wont allow me to select a level of displayed violence to continue to the game i can see and move my curser and a sound effect plays when i try selecting one of the 3 options but i cant actually start playing can anyone help me out?
im a bit late for this game BUT i downloaded it and when i enter the game my screen bugs and the characters get like some black thing flutters around edit never mind i got a better pc
This would greatly benefit from a VR port or connection to VR controllers. I often found myself flailing to hit my targets due to the current combat. As a swordsman, I appreciate the realism that if you hit once, you're basically dead, and the gore was immaculate. Overall, nice concept just needs a different medium.
bro this game so cool ı play playtest and steam demo to but on the steam demo when ı died my game has cras and my pc is down my pc a strong pc ı dont know why is happen... (sorry for words ı am not from USA ı am from Türkiye .q)

this game is fun, but you need high end pc to run this, not optimized
well idk about a "high end" I cab run it just fine with gtx 1060 i5 10300 H laptop
i can run on low graphics with a GTX 1050 Ti PC

Bug: Stuck on gore selection menu. When booting up the game nothing happens when making a gore selection.
Solution: Clean reinstall
Delete all files relating to the half sword playtest existing in your local files. Be sure to back up your screenshots folder if you took any!
Navigate to and delete the Half Sword Playtest folder located in the following directory.
`C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common`
Navigate to and delete the Saved folder located in the following directory.
`C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\HalfSwordUE5`
Finally, reinstall Half Sword Playtest.
This still didn't fix it for me.

There is not current plans for VR Support. Some have had success using VR injector mods.
I highly recommend trying out the Playtest on Steam it is the latest build of the game in development.

It has already adjustable settings.
You can try run it with -DX11 launch parameter.
