You can create a Windows virtual machine and play it there. It would be laggier than if you had windows actually installed, but it will run. Or you can create a second partition and dual boot into windows.
This is so fun and the details are amazing! you can impale enemies with your sword, you can get your axe stuck in your enemy. I wish there were a few more options for maps and clothing, but still amazing.

i love this game but for some reason i just can't get the heads to explode with the mace no matter how many good hits i get in and none of the game setting sliders seem to change it.
what will happen to the 1st person view, what types of armor and clothing will be added to the game, will there be spears and other types of piercing weapons, will there be more types of weapons such as swords, shields, axes, will it be online in the next updates or is it too difficult at this stage of the game.
i think it'll never have online, plus its a really laggy game and needs more development, And it needs to be from steam to be multiplayer, Or have a launcher for that.
Why would it need Steam? if the launch goes well they could make multiplayer, would need a bunch of development though because the physics are complicated
there is a great game here, you're definitely onto something. It would be cool if you could enable some hooks for modding support, that way people could at least generate new environments or maybe even some sense of 'quest' or map to complete. In general it's a great concept, works and runs really well. I am also impressed at the AI, it's a decent challenge and vicious which is great. Bravo!
The game is awesome but the sensitivity is WAY to high and I can't find out how to turn it down. Also Q seems to drop your weapon but there is no keybind to pick up dropped items.
This game is really amazing and has so much potential and I hope to see it continue to grow. Some suggestions I have for it would be increased gore effects, and what I mean by that is instead of just having blood splatter, you could actually show the damage the weapons do to the enemy, be it a hole from being stabbed, or have parts of the head be dismemberable rather than just the whole head. Also, breaking bones is really difficult for me in game, even with the setting turned all the way up, so I think that should be a more frequent occurance.
I think more weapons (saber, rapier, etc), a better focus/target locking assistance, and a bit of guided movement (for swings and thrusts) could go a long way toward making it even more epic

whenever i open the game, the screen become dark and then an error message says "out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource, try lowering the resolution and/or other applications that are running." why cant I run the game?
I've been having a blast with this game the past 3 days. It can be extremely satisfying when you hit a good combo on an enemy. I can't wait for the steam release!

I get an error that says, GPU Crashed or D3D Device Removed.
Use -d3dd3bug to enable the D3D debug devide.
Check log for GPU state information.
I tried to do everything I could but I don't get results, can someone help me?

how do you launch the game
First extract the "halfsword-win.zip" file after you downloaded it,
Open the folder, Double click "HalfSwordUE5.exe" in the folder.
Pls add local multiplayer
